This four-step meditation helps us remove negative karma by tracing unwanted experiences back to their causes. We look at a problem—like trouble sleeping, or a backache—then become a detective. We search for moments when we have created a similar feeling in others. By recognizing the seed and taking refuge in its emptiness, applying intelligent regret, choosing to stop planting it, and doing a positive action as a make-up activity, we have the ability to clear old karmas and create better outcomes for ourselves and those around us.
